Find materials from the Newtown Township Public Zoning Workshop, held at Marple-Newtown High School on November 28, 2018, below.

On Wednesday, November 28, 2018, the Newtown Township Zoning Task Force hosted a Public Zoning Workshop at Marple-Newtown High School. The workshop brought together Newtown citizens from a variety of backgrounds to discuss the future of their Township. The Task Force, with help from Delaware County Planning Department staff, led attendees through a hands-on mapping exercise which allowed participants to reflect on the current conditions of Newtown, as well as think critically about the goals and needs of the future.  This workshop was open to all and served to inform, engage, and facilitate conversations about the future zoning of Newtown Township. Handouts and other materials for the workshop can be found below.

Additionally, any resident who was not able to attend the meeting, but still looking to have their voice heard, was encouraged to complete a mapping and an open-response survey by January 7, 2019.

Surveys were then analyzed for thematic trends and presented to the Newtown Zoning Task Force. The Presentation can be found at
