Energizing Your Downtown Series

An initiative to provide municipal leaders with the tools to, not only, enhance their downtowns, but also their communities as a whole.

In October 2018, the Delaware County Planning Department (DCPD) hosted its first Energizing Your Downtown event, as part of the Planning Beyond Paper initiative. This event brought together speakers from across the region to share their experiences with creating and maintain vibrant downtowns through innovative approaches and unique partnerships. While Energizing Your Downtown was originally created to serve as a single event, the County recognized the need and desire from municipal officials to continually learn new and creative approaches to transforming their towns.

Moving forward, the Energizing Your Downtown Series will serve as a series of workshops all centered under the general theme of using creative approaches to enhance Delaware County’s downtowns and communities, as a whole. Upcoming event information can be found below.
