Continuous through 2019 or until funds are exhausted


This program will reimburse local governments, school districts, community organizations, or businesses a percentage of the total cost of repowering or replacing older diesel engines or vehicles with newer diesel or alternative fueled engines or vehicles, including all-electric engines or vehicles, for the following vehicle classes: Class 4-7 local freight trucks with engine model years 1992-2009, drayage trucks with model years 1992-2009, and Class 4-8 school or shuttle buses with engine model year 2009 or older.

Successful applicants will be issued a rebate voucher for a specific amount to be redeemed once the project work is complete. Vouchers will be issued on a first come, first served basis. $12 million is available.
