Find materials from the Energizing Your Downtown: a discussion on creating and maintaining a vibrant community event held on Oct. 18, 2018.

On Thursday, October 18th, 2018, the Delaware County Planning Department (DCPD) hosted Energizing Your Downtown: a discussion on creating and maintaining a vibrant community. The Energizing Your Downtown event brought together speakers from across the region to share their experiences with creating and maintaining vibrant downtowns through innovative approaches and unique partnerships. Jason Duckworth, President of Arcadia Land Company, gave the featured presentation on how communities can create value and draw interest from private developers. A panel of community leaders from downtowns in the region then discussed their experiences with all things downtown – from getting revitalization efforts started to maintaining interest in successful programs. This event was geared towards elected officials, municipal staff, business owners, developers, and professional planners and economic development officials. Links to the presentations and related information from the event can be found below.
