The mission of the Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD) is to promote sound housing and community development in Delaware County with the use of federal, state and local resources. OHCD is responsible for the planning, administration, and oversight of three federal programs: the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) and Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) Programs. The office is also charged with oversight of state initiatives funded through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development and County initiatives, as funds become available.

Council Adopts 2024 CDBG, HOME, ESG and AHF Proposed List of Awards

The Delaware County Council approved the 2024 Proposed List of Awards at the May 1, 2024 County Council meeting.  County Council will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, as part of the regularly scheduled County Council meeting, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The purpose of the hearing is to solicit citizen comments on the proposed list of awards.  The meeting will convene in the County Council Meeting Room of the Government Center Building, 201 W. Front Street, Media, PA 19063.
Comments will also be accepted through mail or email until June 10, 2024. Comments can be submitted via email to welshp@co.delaware.pa.us or be mailed to:
