The Office of the Public Defender is committed to providing and promoting quality legal representation for indigent adults and children facing the loss of their rights, liberty and dignity. We provide legal representation to those accused of crimes in Delaware County who cannot afford a private attorney. We represent thousands of clients each year who are charged with crimes ranging from disorderly conduct to murder, practicing in the District Justice Courts, the Court of Common Pleas, and the Appellate Courts of Pennsylvania. In addition, the Office of the Public Defender represents our youth facing accusations in the Juvenile Court of Delaware County, and those charged with contempt in Family Court who face the threat of incarceration.
