Assesses, develops, and implements comprehensive departmental application systems used by George W. Hill Correctional Facility. The Technical Operations Coordinator Manages automated departmental activities with the Department of Information Services and inmate management systems (currently Viapath), Provides technical leadership in support of departmental and applications systems in a Local Area Network environment. The Technical Operations Coordinator coordinates all Help Desk calls for department personnel. Identifies, coordinates, and supports all technical training requirements for department personnel. Provides reports as requested to county, state, and federal agencies.
The Technical Operations Coordinator provides supervision of departmental personnel in support of computer hardware and software used in the application environment.
The Technical Operations Coordinator must have strong verbal and technical writing skills.
The Technical Operations Coordinator must communicate with management, coworkers, and Information Services personnel.
The Technical Operations Coordinator maintains a working knowledge of all hardware and software technologies used in the department (e.g. networks, inmate management system, imaging, etc.).
The Technical Operations Coordinator will utilize the Delaware County Service desk to support users with software and/or hardware problems.
The Technical Operations Coordinator will maintain a software/hardware problem history within the Delaware County Service Desk knowledgebase for purposes of troubleshooting and as a maintenance record.
The Technical Operations Coordinator will maintain a comprehensive hardware and software inventory, to include upkeep of all warranty information, software licensing requirements and agreements, and documentation.
The Technical Operations Coordinator trains and supports staff in the use of computer software, equipment and applications.
The Technical Operations Coordinator researches and evaluates future and related software products in support of the department.
The Technical Operations Coordinator will develop and provide automated data reports on a monthly basis to the management staff to facilitate the management of the department’s workload and the quality control of its automated system. Further, the Technical Operations Coordinator will provide the Warden, Deputy Warden or Assistant Wardens, research reports upon request.
Is required to complete on-call rotation.
Other duties as assigned
At least 3 years working with Windows operating systems
Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure and Office365 administration
Experience with SaaS account management either direct or SSO
Proficient with Windows shares and Active Directory users and computers
Experience with password policy and MFA
Excellent written and verbal communication
Highly motivated and organized.
Excellent PC Support and troubleshooting skills.
Customer service focused and detailed oriented.
Graduate of technical school or equivalent is required
Valid Driver’s License

Standard jail facility and office environment. Incumbent performs duties in a jail facility which may involves sitting and walking at will, walking/standing and/or sitting for long periods, lifting/ carrying heavy objects, crouching/kneeling, bending at the waist, close and far vision, reaching, handling/ grasping/fingering objects, hearing sounds/communication. Incumbent is frequently exposed to the hazards associated with jail operations, such as potentially violent individuals and communicable disease.
