Under the direction of and reporting to the Register of Wills the Paralegal will assist the Deputy of Orphans’ Court and the Register of Wills by providing clerical and research support services including document preparation and review; research, investigations, and fact-checking; and fulfilling reporting requirements. Provide general legal and administrative support for all ROW offices operations.
Works with attorneys, court staff, and other professionals to discuss proceedings and filings.
Reviews for compliance legal documents including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, and interrogatories; files motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures.
Prepares, organizes, stores, and retrieves case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items.
Tracks open and pending petitions before the Register of Wills, including monitoring return dates and citations.
Evaluates petitions involving estates for compliance with the Orphans’ Court rules and instructs filers of requirements relating to obtaining consents and renunications.
Analyzes, reviews, and maintains records regarding guardianships, estates, and other filings.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field or relevant professional experience required; Bachelors degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred.
Some related experience preferred.
