MISSION STATEMENT

The Citizen Corps of Delaware County (CCDC) mission is to provide education, training, and volunteer opportunities to engage all citizens in making our community safer, stronger, and better prepared for emergencies and disasters of all types, including threats of terrorism, crime, public health emergencies, natural, man-made, and technological disasters by improving preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery efforts.

  • Law Enforcement Chaplain’s of Delaware County (LECDC)
  • Delaware County Security Reserve Unit (SRU)
  • Southeastern PA Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters (SEPA VOAD)

MAJOR FUNCTIONS

 Mass Care & Emergency Assistance: Reception Centers, Shelters, Feeding, Distribution, Access & Functional Needs, Household Pets, Mass Evacuation Support, Reunification

 Public Health: Medical shelter support and Medical Countermeasures: Flu clinics, Volunteer Resource Centers, (VRC), Point of Dispensing (POD), Command & Control (MOC), Strike Team, Just in time training

 Disaster Recovery: Call centers, Disaster Recovery Centers, Long Term Recovery Committees, Fiduciary Agency’s, Non-government organizations, VOAD agencies.

 Public Education: Personal & Family Emergency Preparedness Training, Continuity of Operations Training, Active Shooter Response Training, Volunteer Recruitment, Web-site: www.delcocitizencorps.com, Social Media: Delco Citizen Corps Facebook page
