Statement Regarding the November Election

Home / Departments / Public Relations Releases / Statement Regarding the November Election

Released: November 22, 2021

To All of Our Community Members:

The conduct of secure and compliant elections is a primary responsibility of your County government. Over the past three election cycles, the County has taken extraordinary steps to modernize our elections processes, improve transparency and accountability, and provide additional means for you to legally participate in the exercise of democracy. The backbone of these efforts is our exceptional elections team, who have worked tirelessly under the most unusual and adverse of circumstances to protect your right to vote and have your vote counted.

Unfortunately, over the past week allegations were raised about improprieties in the County’s election administration. These allegations have evoked a response from the District Attorney’s Office stating it will investigate. It is the duty of the District Attorney to pursue all credible complaints, and we will support the DA’s efforts to pursue this matter. We are confident that in the end the allegations will be proven to be fabricated and wholly without merit, and that our systems are worthy of your trust.
