Home / Departments / Public Relations Releases / Delaware County Hazard Mitigation Plan - Public Notice

Released: August 22, 2022

Delaware County and its municipalities are updating the Delaware County Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP). The HMP is designed to make our community more resistant to losses from natural and man-made disasters, and to enable the County and municipalities to be eligible for federal funding for qualifying mitigation projects. The updated risk assessment is available on the HMP project website, https://www.delcopahmp.com/, under the “Explore the Plan” link. A recording of the meeting held to review the results of the risk assessment can be found under the “Meetings” link. All interested parties are invited to review and provide comments on the risk assessment using the “Questions” form on the website. For more information, please contact Larry Bak at Delaware County Emergency Services at (610) 565-8700.
