Released: March 2, 2022

In honor of Women’s History Month, the Delaware County Women’s Commission will recognize several Delaware County women who have profoundly influenced women and girls across the county.

This year’s theme, “Women Providing Healing, Promoting Hope” celebrates the women who have worked as frontline heroes in healthcare and as caregivers over the past two years during the pandemic.

Council will join the Women’s Commission in honoring four local women during a Women’s History Celebration at 11:00 a.m. on March 12, 2022 at the McCall Country Club in Upper Darby, PA.

Karen Barnes, Desiree La Marr Murphy, Nicole Stephenson, and Ashley Dolceamore will be honored for their contributions to Delaware County during this unprecedented time with the Woman of Achievement Award.

The community is invited to join the celebration. If you are interested in learning more about the Delaware County Women Commission or supporting the Annual Women’s History Month Awards by purchasing tickets, or sponsorship please email DelCoWomensCommission@delcohsa.org.
