Look Out? Why?

Health Departments everywhere make an effort to keep you and your community safe. If one hurts, we all hurt, no? No this isn't a moral appeal; but we are here to help you as confidentially and anonymously as possibble as long as you can help us help you..... what does that mean? It means that if you are down on your luck and get "burned", catch something, come into contact with it, we (both you and us) have to make sure you're okay. What does that mean.

1. Keeping appointments with the health department ( we have doctor's notes)

2. Talking to the counselors in total - (real world law protected ) confidence so that no one else goes through what you are going through.

3. Finishing your medicine when given to you. (no sharing, no selling) down the hatch!

4. Looking out for yourself and others by knowing more about the nasty side of sex.... STI's so that way you can stop yourself if something doesn't look/feel right.

What do they look like...

My guy... have you ever had something that looks like watered down Elmer's glue come out of you and burn, no? well "nothing" also happens. You can go months without showing signs and symptoms of certain diseases. - keep in mind, this is not meant to scare you. So how do you know that rash isn't because you switched laundry detergents? Well there's only one way to find out, come our way and get tested and treated.

Urine isnt always the answer. You may have had a urine test before for gonorrhea or chlamydia which are curable; however there are other diseases that need blood work and are comparably very damaging to you and others: HIV & Syphilis. Sometimes these two diseases require more than one test.
