The Delaware County Sustainability Commission is charged with providing reviews and recommendations to Delaware County Council and pertinent County departments regarding the preservation and protection of the natural and cultural environment of Delaware County. The Commission is comprised of ten members of the public, which serve three-year terms, and eight members of County staff. Each member is specifically catered to provide expertise or representation for a specific area, contributing to diversified experience.
This October, four public members’ terms will expire, resulting in vacancies for the following positions:
Two representatives with experience in environmental justice or from a historically marginalized community.
One representative with expertise in the field of energy efficiency and/or green building practices.
One member of the general public.
