The Delaware County Office of Sustainability and the Delaware County Planning Department recently received $1,244,025 in grant funding through the Local Share Account (LSA) grant program issued by the Commonwealth Financing Authority. Of the seven proposals submitted, all seven projects were funded. Awarded projects, include:

  • A Bike Share Feasibility Study;

  • The creation of a Delaware County Vision Zero Plan;

  • The creation of a Tree Canopy Assessment;

  • Installation of additional security measures at Woodburne Mansion in Little Flower Manor Park;

  • The creation of an Active Transportation Plan;

  • A feasibility study for Phase 4 of the Chester Creek Trail in Chester Township; and,

  • Safety improvements in Mineral Hill Park.

Delaware County Council approved the acceptance of these funds during their April 19th meeting. In addition to the Office of Sustainability and the Planning Department, the Delaware County Commerce Center and several Delaware County municipalities were also among the award recipients. Across the County, 42 projects totaling $14,648,815 were awarded for community development, infrastructure repairs, and other projects.
