On Thursday, March 21st, 2019, the Delaware County Planning Department (DCPD) hosted Placemaking Part One: Identifying Your Community’s Strengths. This event was the first of a three-part series focusing on placemaking: the act of creating vibrant spaces for communities. Placemaking Part One brought together local experts to share their experiences in creating placemaking projects from the ground up and the impact such projects have made on their communities. Community leaders that participated in this event came away with a better comprehension of placemaking, a stronger understanding of their communities’ unique strengths, and ideas on how to utilize their strengths to implement successful placemaking projects in their communities’.
