Darby Creek Trail Phase 2 Feasibility Study

Abstract: The Darby Creek Trail Phase 2 Feasibility Study examined the possible alignments for a multi-use trail along Darby Creek from the endpoint of the existing trail in Kent County Park in Upper Darby Township and connecting to another existing trail south of the Baltimore Avenue / Scottdale Road intersection in Lansdowne. The report includes the results of property and right-of-way research, identified constraints and opportunities, traffic and safety impacts, environmental and other permitting requirements, and concept plans, narrative analyses, and cost estimates for five trail concept alternatives.

Delaware County Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance

Abstract: The principal purpose of the Delaware County Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance (SALDO) is to protect the health, safety and welfare of residents of the County. This document establishes reasonable standards of design and procedures for the orderly layout and development of land. The current 2016 County Ordinance is the governing subdivision and land development document for 21 of the County’s 49 municipalities. The August 3, 2016 adoption of this document replaced the previous 1981 SALDO.

Delaware County 2035 Implementation Metrics Report

Abstract: This report serves to measure the progress made in implementing Delaware County 2035, the County’s comprehensive plan. It is important to note that Delaware County 2035 is a long-range planning document and that this Implementation Metrics Report is not a final report; rather, it is the beginning of a process that will continue to monitor implementation progress and success of these plans. Delaware County 2035 recognizes the importance of strengthening partnerships to work together towards implementation of these plans. The information presented within will help to guide the County and its partners in prioritizing strategies to reach the goals identified in each component.

It examines the policies and trends identified in the Delaware County 2035 Land Use Framework Plan with particular regard to open space, recreation, and greenway needs and opportunities specific to the County.

Volume III specifically examines the Delaware County Parks and Recreation system, and includes long range site development drawings and accompanying narratives for several of the major County parks.

Abstract: The Open Space, Recreation, and Greenway Plan serves as a guide and resource for countywide, multi-municipal, and municipal open space planning efforts. It examines the policies and trends identified in the Delaware County 2035 Land Use Framework Plan with particular regard to open space, recreation, and greenway needs and opportunities specific to the County. Volume II identifies a countywide Primary Trail Network which connects recreational and cultural hubs via trails, as well as conservation greenways along stream corridors.
