Appeals must be mailed or hand-delivered no later than the due date for the appeal. All appeals must contain an original signature; facsimiles and electronic filings are not acceptable. Postmark (or date-stamp by Assessment office if appeal is hand-delivered) will determine whether an appeal has been timely filed.

Due to changes at the United States Postal Service, postmarks may be delayed. To guarantee your appeal is accepted as timely filed you must either:

  1. Hand-deliver your appeal to the Delaware County Board of Assessment Appeals at the Government Center Building, 201 West Front Street, Media, PA 19063; or
  2. Visit a Post Office counter and request one of the following:
    Hand-cancellation / manual postmark
    Certificate of Mailing
    Registered or Certified Mail
    Postage purchased at the counter
