Permits for the use of our Parks and Facilities
We are in the process of expanding our offerings and appreciate your patience as we implement our new procedures. Permits are subject to availability, approval, and payment. Please call us for assistance.
Three types of permits may be issued: Private Party, Athletic League, & Special Event (public events held by non-profit organizations). The Fee schedule may be found below.
Please Note:
Weddings, alcoholic beverages, and bounce houses are not permitted in any of our parks or facilities.
The Rose Tree Park Amphitheater is not available to rent.
Restrooms/portable restrooms are available April-November.
Private Party Permits - Indoor & Outdoor
Outdoor Picnic Groves & Pavilions
Groups of 10 or more should request a permit for the use of picnic areas in the following parks:
- Catania Park
- Clayton Park
- Glen Providence Park
- New Park (former Little Flower property)
- Smedley Park
- Upland Park
We do not issue private party permits for Rose Tree Park. The picnic tables, gazebo, and playground pavilion are available on a first-come, first-serve basis only.
Indoor Meeting & Banquet Rooms
The following rental spaces are available:
- Delco Community Center (767 Beech Ave., Glenolden)
- Banquet Room
- Conference/Training Room
- Environmental Center in Smedley Park
- Redwood Center in Upland Park
To obtain a permit, please fill out the form below and send it to the Parks & Recreation Department via mail or email. Our office will then contact you with the next steps
Special Event Permits
Non-profit organizations may apply for a permit to host a public event in the following parks:
- Clayton Park
- Glen Providence Park
- Kent Park
- New Park (former Little Flower property)
- Rose Tree Park
- Smedley Park
- Upland Park
To request an application for a Special Event permit, please contact the Parks & Recreation Department.
Athletic League Permits
Permits are issued seasonally for these athletic fields:
- Clayton Park Ballfields
- Featherbed Lane Multi-use field
- Incinerator Field
- Smedley Park Multi-use fields
- Rose Tree Park Cross Country Course
- Upland Park Ballfields & Multi-use field
