Description of Work

This position supports the financial and eligibility functions that allow Delaware County Children and Youth Services to operate smoothly and provide vital services. As a Fiscal Technician, you will perform the following duties:

• Eligibility Reviews: Review eligibility for children in custody and conduct required re determinations
• Data Management: Maintain databases and evaluate eligibility reports for accuracy
• Financial Tracking: Track and report payments including DRO and Social Security transactions
• Documentation Checks: Examine court orders and other legal records for compliance with Title IV E regulations
• Information Requests: Prepare responses for information needed by agencies and program staff

Qualifications

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or
• Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or
• One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Legal Requirements

• You must pass a background investigation.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
• Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
