Theagencytriestoreducethestressoffostercareplacementbylookingforresourcesthatwillhelpmaintainchildrenintheirowncommunitybecause:

ResourcefamiliesinDelawareCountyhelpchildrenmaintaintiestotheircommunityandthingsfamiliar.

Childrenareabletostayintheirschooldistrict,whichpreventsorreducesadisruptiontotheirlearning.Whenchildrencannotbeplacedtogether,ResourcefamiliesinDelawareCountyhelptheagencymaintainchildrenneartheirsiblings,whichallowsforeasyvisitingamongsiblings,friendsandfamily.

ResourcefamiliesintheCountyhelpprovidebetteropportunitiesforcreativevisitationwithparents,whichkeepsparentsengagedinthereunificationprocess.

Resourcefamiliesareneededtoprovideaprotectivenurturingenvironmentforinfants,schoolagechildrenandteens.Resourcefamiliesareneededforinfants,childrenorteenswithspecialneedsandforteenmothersandtheirchildren.

Mustcompleteandpassrequiredchildabuse,statepoliceandFBIclearances

Mustcompleteamedicalassessment

Mustcompletepre-servicetrainings
