Welcome to Delaware County’s New County Park, located at 1201 Springfield Road in Darby.
Phase I of the park’s creation has been completed, and there’s much to be enjoyed by the public while ongoing projects continue in the adjacent space. The New County Park offers a paved walking trail, open lawn, picnic areas, a path to a scenic overlook of Darby Creek, and ADA compliant parking.
A Community Garden is currently in development and will host pilot programming with partner organizations this summer as the infrastructure continues to take shape. We anticipate that our garden plot program will be ready for the 2027 growing season, and we will provide more information to prospective gardeners in the coming months about how to sign up for next year. Our garden program offers Delaware County residents the opportunity to lease a garden bed space for a nominal fee, and we are very excited for this expansion to a second park.
Phase II of the New County Park’s ongoing development is being planned now, and community input continues to be important. Please watch for details on the second Open House coming in early fall for the Phase II Master Site Plan.
