Abstract: This report serves to measure the progress made in implementing Delaware County 2035, the County’s comprehensive plan. It is important to note that Delaware County 2035 is a long-range planning document and that this Implementation Metrics Report is not a final report; rather, it is the beginning of a process that will continue to monitor implementation progress and success of these plans. Delaware County 2035 recognizes the importance of strengthening partnerships to work together towards implementation of these plans. The information presented within will help to guide the County and its partners in prioritizing strategies to reach the goals identified in each component.

Abstract:
The Open Space, Recreation, and Greenway Plan serves as a guide and resource for countywide, multi-municipal, and municipal open space planning efforts. It examines the policies and trends identified in the Delaware County 2035 Land Use Framework Plan with particular regard to open space, recreation, and greenway needs and opportunities specific to the County.
Volume III specifically examines the Delaware County Parks and Recreation system, and includes long range site development drawings and accompanying narratives for several of the major County parks.

Abstract: The Open Space, Recreation, and Greenway Plan serves as a guide and resource for countywide, multi-municipal, and municipal open space planning efforts. It examines the policies and trends identified in the Delaware County 2035 Land Use Framework Plan with particular regard to open space, recreation, and greenway needs and opportunities specific to the County. Volume II identifies a countywide Primary Trail Network which connects recreational and cultural hubs via trails, as well as conservation greenways along stream corridors.

Abstract: The Housing Plan is a long-range strategy to provide for adequate housing solutions for all citizens in Delaware County. The plan identifies existing conditions, needs and opportunities, and recommendations related to the County’s housing stock. It outlines actions to be taken over the course of the next fifteen years that are in line with the broader goals of Delaware County 2035, the County’s comprehensive plan.

Abstract: The Historic Preservation Plan intends to capture the essence of the variety of historic resources in the County and seeks to better understand how to best identify, prioritize, and protect them. The Plan incorporates information on known historic resources and countywide history, shares preservation planning strategies, and identifies actions that will further the role of the County and its municipalities as good stewards of our rich heritage, and help to incorporate historic resources into what makes our communities thrive.

Media-Smedley Connector Trail Feasibility Study

Abstract: The Media-Smedley Connector Trail Feasibility Study examined the ideal alignment and design for an east-west bicycle and pedestrian trail connecting Smedley County Park and the Mineral Hill Area Parks via a route through the center of Media Borough. It identifies the best potential route after examining all possible alternatives and details the trail’s associated feasibility and potential costs, along with recommended segments and phasing for development. A concept plan illustrating the location of the recommended trail and all associated design features (e.g., trailheads, landscaping, etc.) is contained in the report.
